MMRFL  2012 RULES MEETING -- Tuesday Jan 10th 6:30
The MMRFL will be conducting our Annual Rules Meeting for the 2012 Season on January 10th, 2012,  starting at 6:30 PM at Fuddruckers on Miller Road.  The purpose of this meeting is to review potential rule changes for the 2012 season.  Changes may also be made to By-Laws and other policy guidelines at that time.    ALL  AREAS are required to have voting representative present for this meeting.

Any area that has not receieived a copy of proposed changes needs to contact the MMRFL President Immediately to get a copy.  Please provide accurate email address for distribution immediately
MMRFL College Grant-Scholarship Program -- Subsmission deadline April 10th, 2012
The MMRFL annually gives out several  $500 grant/scholarships for college to eligible seniors in high school that are college bound to help cover college expenses.  Applications and instructions for submitting them are available on-line on the Document center.  High School Seniors (or their parents) should check out the documents to check on eligibility requirements and get your application if you qualify.  The MMRFL will be giving out four (4) five hundred dollar scholarships in 2012 to seniors graduating during the  2011/2012 school year.

Volunteers needed for MMRFL Sholarship Selection Committee
The MMRFL Executive Board is now accepting nominations to fill openings on the Scholarship Selection Committee for 2012.  This committee will be responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and selecting the recipients of the 4 scholarships to be granted this coming year.  They will also be asked to make recommendations regarding any potential changes or improvements needed for the next year.  Depending on the number of applications received, this could require up to 8 hours of your time over 2 or 3 meetings.  Most of this time will be spent in Late April to Early May in 2012

The committee will consist of 5 members.  At least one from the League Executive Board and at least 1 not associated with the MMRFL  (Typically a Community leader, education institute staff member, or member of local law enforcement).  The other three positions may be filled from others associated with the MMRFL or either of these groups.  If you are willing and interested in volunteering your time to be a part of this committee please E-mail me at  MMRFL@aol.com  or use the "Contact Us" link above.  Plan is to select the committee member s by mid to late January of this year.
About the Mid-Michigan Rural Football League
The Mid-Michigan Rural Football League, Inc.,  (MMRFL) is a youth football and cheerleading organization for kids from ages 8 to 13.  It is designed to organize and maintain recreational athletics (Youth Football & Cheerleading) in an instructional nature. We offer supervision, guidance, and instruction aimed at making our kids better athletes and better people.  Incorporated in 1990 we have grown from 7 districts with 19 teams to 21 Member areas plus 2 associate member areas with 113 football teams this year.  These are coed – full contact football teams playing under MHSAA rules along with Cheerleading squads and POM squads as well in many areas to round out the experience.  With over 3,500 kids and over 500 volunteer coaches and staff we are proud to serve communities in 5 counties in Mid Michigan  (Genesee, Oakland, Saginaw, Shiawasee, and Tuscola).
